Someone Stop Jose

In the aftermath of Ahli's goalless draw against Arab Contractors in the Egyptian league, coach Manuel Jose hit us with a new edition of his weird and arrogant statements.

The Portuguese manager, as always, blamed injuries and the team's compact schedule as a reason for the very poor and jaded performance they gave against Arab Contractors and even in the win against Tanta.

I'd like to remind Mr. Jose that more than half of last season's games were won the same way, awful performances and easy wins over very poor teams.

Its an undeniable fact that Jose is one of the best foreign coaches to have worked in Egypt, but the man who became a legend only did that with the help of the best of the worst players in a very poor competition like the Egyptian league.

How many times we've seen Ahli winning only because their contenders are way worse than them?

Jose never admits to any mistakes he does, blaming it all on injuries and players' poor form, coming out after the Sfaxien game saying that nobody can win all the time and that's why Ahli lost.

It is obvious that no club can win all the time if they perform as poor as Ahli did against Sfaxien and against Arab Contractors.

Since his second spell at the club, Jose has done some fatal mistakes that are clear to everyone.

He released some of the team's promising players like Reda Shehata and Ahmed Belal, and destroying the careers of players like Sayed Abdul-Hafiz and Mohamed Abdullah.

Jose also brought in some useless players like Flavio Amado and Amr Fathi 'Samaka', insisting he's the master of transfer deals and that nobody else knows how to evaluate a striker.

He pampers some players like Emad Meteb, Mohamed Shawki and Gilberto while unexplainably dislikes others like Mohamed Abdul-Wahab, whom he was forced to use due to the deficiency in his position.

The Portuguese tactician also stripped Essam Al-Hadari of his captaincy just because of a common fluke any goalkeeper concedes and went on to land a new keeper, Nader Al-Sayed, just to tease and motivate Al-Hadari.

With Ahli offloading new players and youngsters every season, Jose never gives any of them a true chance to prove themselves, despite the various injuries and suspensions the team suffers during the season.

There has to be an end to Jose's policy!

We want the Jose who first took charge of Ahli in 2001 and who produced better results and performances with players who were less experienced than the squad he has now.
