Al-Shennawi, who has usually been selected by Bradley, walked out of Zamalek’s game against Petrojet after being informed that he will not start in goal.
“Al-Shennawi was basically out of our plans because he is not playing regular football,” Abdul-Fattah told FilGoal.com.
“Now after what he had done with Zamalek, I think the problem is much bigger and that adds another reason to why he will not be selected for the national team.”
Al-Shennawi, 21, has been strongly tipped to be the successor of long-serving guardian Essam Al-Hadari, who went at loggerheads with Bradley before announcing his international retirement a few months ago.
Even though he made himself available again for Egypt, Al-Hadari seems to have lost his place between the posts for Bradley as well.
This leaves the American with veteran Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed as the number one candidate to protect Egypt’s net, along with Ahli’s inexperienced Sherif Ekrami.
