Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho said that he still needs to improve his game despite being crowned as FIFA World Player of the Year, Spanish daily Marca reported on Thursday.

"I still need to improve. I'm young and I believe I can mature much as a player," Ronaldinho told Brazilian TV channel Globo.

The Brazilian sensation scooped the FIFA World Player of the Year award earlier this month for the second consecutive season, just one month after being named European Footballer of the Year.

"I'm very pleased to win this award for the second season in a row, because there were many great players in the race," the former Paris Saint Germain said.
