Cameroon boss Artur Jorge has selected a 23-man squad for the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Inter Milan full back Pierre Wome was surprisingly left out of the squad after he missed a crucial penalty against Egypt in the World Cup qualifiers that denied Cameroon's place in WC finals in Germany.

Hamburg defender Thimothee Atouba was included despite his assertion on Monday that he would not link up with Cameroon because he was not guaranteed a first team place.

The squad witnessed the appearance of four inexperienced players Pierre Boya, Ateba Bilayi, Andre Bikey and goalkeeper Pierre Ebede to play their first major international tournament.

Cameroon were placed in Group B along with Togo, Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo.
