Cairo Stadium-Ahmad Saied: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) handed Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston and Senegal defender Habib Beye a four-match ban for fighting.

Both players were fined $1000 for trading punches during Ghana's 1-0 victory over Senegal, Mohamed Al-Siyagy, a member in the CAF disciplinary committee, told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

The suspension, which is the most severe in African Cup history, means both players will miss the remainder of the tournament even if their teams do reach the final on February 10th.

This penalty exceeds the three-match ban that was handed to Congo captain Lomana LuaLua in the 2004 Tunisia tournament.
