Saudi Arabia failed to snap a losing streak in friendly games after losing 2-1 defeat to Belgium in a World Cup warm-up in Holland.

An own goal from Belgian defender Bart Goor in the 33rd minute cancelled out Tom Caulwe's opener early in the second minute before Anthony Vanden sealed the victory for the European side in the 55th minute.

Saudi Arabia did not win a single match in their World Cup preparations as they lost four matches against Lebanon, Portugal, Poland and Belgium.

They also tied Sweden, Finland, Greece, Syria and Iraq, the results that cast doubts over the team's abilities before heading to Germany.

Despite the disappointment results, Saudi Arabia's Brazilian coach Marcos Paqueta insisted his side will be looking to repeat South Korea's achievement in the 2002 World Cup by finishing fourth this summer in Germany.

Saudi Arabia play in Group H alongside Spain, Ukraine and Tunisia.
