Ayala is moving to Villarreal at the end of the season

Valencia defender Roberto Ayala launched a vigorous attack at the club president Juan Bautista Soler and sporting director Amedeo Carboni.

The Argentine whose contract with Valencia ends next summer, said that Soler and Carboni were the main reason he wasn’t offered a two-year extension in a way to force him out of the club.

"I wanted to stay here till the end of my career, but that dream has now disappeared because certain people didn’t respect their word," Ayala was quoted as saying by 'As' on Friday.

"I say it very clearly, I've been deceived by both Soler and Carboni and those two persons don’t exist for me anymore," angry Ayala added.

Valencia earlier rejected an offer from Villareal to lure the 33-year-old defender, which made his agent declare that the player will refuse playing for the team if he is forced to stay with Valencia.

"Valencia have to allow Ayala to leave, or else he'll simply see out the last year of his contract without playing," Ayala's agent Gustavo Mascardi told Radio Nou on Thursday.
