The former Ajax and Holland legend will be assisted by fellow Dutchman Theo De Jong and local coach Jules Nyongha with former Cameroon keeper Thmoas Nkono as goalkeepers' trainer.

Haan, who was sacked from his position as China coach in 2004, previously coached Anderlecht, Feyenoord and Stuttgart before his final post at Iranian side Persepolis prior to taking on the Cameroon job.

Cameroon have been without a coach since Portuguese Artur Jorge was sacked on January following the team's second round exit in the African Cup of Nations on the hands of Ivory Coast.
