New Zealand champions Auckland City have parted ways with coach Roger Wilkinson on Tuesday, almost three weeks prior playing Ahli in the World Club Championship, the club said.

Auckland City chairman Ivan Vuksich told local media that the English manger is no more in charge of the team.

According to New Zealand website ONE Sport, board member Paul Marshall has been appointed as a caretaker boss.

Wilkinson has been signed in the summer, succeeding Allan Jones who was named New Zealand women national team manager after winning the local league with Auckland City.

Auckland City will face African champions Ahli in their first match of the global event in Toyota City on December 10th.
