Hamburg will table an offer to land Zidan in January as they need to reinforce their attacking line, the paper added.

Bremen's striker Ivan Klasnic was also targeted by Hamburg but the Croatian international preferred to stay with his side even after he was relegated to the bench.

Zidan missed majority of the campaign after undergoing an operation early in the season.

The 24-year-old joined Bremen in January 2005 but was loaned to Bremen for one season before returning to his club.

Bremen are in charge of the Bundesliga table with 36 points while Hamburg lie 17th on just 13 points.
