The Black Cats secured their last-eight berth after claiming an easy 2-0 victory over Morocco to finish on top of Group A with 100% record.

When asked whether he prefers to face Mali or Nigeria, the Chelsea midfielder said he is unconcerned with the hosts' next opponent.

"We are ready for everyone because we are looking to win the title," Essien said after the match.

Essien believes in Ghana's chances to win CAN for the fifth time in their history.

"We are gradually improving. I think if we maintained our current form we can go all the way," he added.
