"Ahli have never inquired about the availability of Karim," Gheit told FilGoal.com.

Karim's agent Mohamed Shiha revealed earlier in the day that Ahli have opened talks with his client to sign him next season.

However, Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi has firmly denied Shiha claims. Gheit also confirmed that Ismaili have no intention of releasing their star.

"Karim's agent never informed us that Ahli want to sign the player. We won't sell our striker because he is young and has a bright future ahead of him," he said.

The 23-year-old frontman has scored eight goals for the Dervishes so far this season. His contract with Ismaili runs out in 2010.
