Italian TV channel Italia 1 claims the Bavarian giants have lined up a hefty bid for the 30-year-old player.

Bayern are said to be ready to pay Milan between 15 and 20 million euros for the services of the Italian international and are even considering offering the unsettled Willy Sagnol in an exchange deal.

Gattuso will be offered a four-year-deal with an annual salary of 6million euros, the report claimed.

These reports come only one day after Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer made public his interest in the 2006 World Cup winner.

"I like him. He would be an important player for Bayern in the Champions League. Or rather he would be perfect," Beckenbauer told Gazzetta dello Sport.
