Ahli’s striker Amado Flavio struck the opening goal for Angola paving the way to a large 3-0 win over Benin, on Sunday, in the World Cup 2010 qualifiers.
The 28-year old player broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, Job doubled the lead 18 minutes later but it was Mendonca who had the last world just six minutes before time.
Flavio and Gilberto were among the starting lineup and were inspirational for the Palencas Negras.
Angola’s successful start gave them the top of the group just ahead of Uganda who beat Niger 1-0 on Saturday.
