BRASILIA, June 20 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) announced that Ronaldinho will be part of the Brazilian Olympic soccer team.
The midfielder was liberated by Barcelona. The player will be one of the three players above the Olympic age to play on the team.
However, Friday's news brought up the comparison of Ronaldinho with Kaka, who is recovering from a knee surgery and is also speculated to be one of the three over-age players.
"We are very different players and are involved in very different situations," said Kaka.
"Ronaldinho is going through a tough time at Barcelona. He is recovering from an injury and is unsure about his return to the Spanish team.
"I, on the other hand, have requested my liberation from Milan to be able to play in the Olympics. However, they reserve the right to deny my request. The ball is on their court now."
