Yehia's side lost 2-0 to arch-rivals Ahli in the Egyptian Super Cup on Sunday night, a week after a 2-1 defeat against the Red Devils in the Champions League.

"We are getting better," Yehia told Modern Sport after the game.

"On Sunday, Zamalek will register the first three points in their African campaign against Dynamos."

Yehia echoed criticism voiced by manager Reiner Hollmann over refereeing.

Zamalek players demanded two penalties and protested dismissing Tunisian defender Wissem Al-Abdi.

"We were denied two clear penalties," he said.

"Al-Abdi's red card was unfair. I was near him and he said nothing offensive to the referee.

"I couldn't judge Junior Agogo's disallowed goal from where I was standing. We have to see the play again."
