Former Ahli striker Ahmed Abdul-Monem 'Koshari' revealed that he is set to be appointed as new Djibouti coach within the next few days.

Koshari told Ahly TV on Wednesday that he will fly to Djibouti this week to sign the official contract, after agreeing personal terms with the Djibouti Football Federation.

Djibouti's next and last World Cup qualificatier will be against Egypt on October 12th. However, Koshari said he's not sure if he will be coaching the East African side against his home country or not.

"It is still undecided whether I'll take over the team before or after the Egypt game."

"But if I lead Djibouti against the African champions I'll be doing my best to come out of the game with the least humiliating result," concluded Koshari.
