Barcelona striker Thierry Henry said that his role for the club is different than the one he played at Arsenal, and that's why he's not scoring many goals for the Catalan side.

After netting 174 goals in eight years playing for Arsenal, Henry only managed a total of 16 goals since moving to Nou Camp in 2007.

"I understand that people want me to score more goals like I did with Arsenal, but in Barcelona things are different," Henry was quoted as saying by Marca.

"When I was at Arsenal I didn't have to run like I run now. Sometimes you have to work for the team and not just for yourself."

The 31-year-old added that at Barcelona, he's required to help out with the defense, rather than the lone striker position he played at Arsenal.

"At Arsenal I would leave the centre to wait for the ball on the wing and keep myself fresh. Here it's the opposite.

"On the wing you have to make more effort to defend and maybe it means that I'm less sharp in the opposition penalty area."

Deployed to play as a left winger in Josip Guardiola's 4-3-3 formation, Henry scored only six goals in 17 games for Barcelona so far in the season.
