Substitute Mohamed Abdul-Wahed scored his 13th goal for Lierse as his side claimed a 4-2 victory over FC Brussels in the Belgian second division on Saturday.

Defender Chris Janssens put Lierse in front after 26 minutes and veteran striker Tomasz Radzinski doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime.

Jurgen Cavens added the third three minutes past the hour mark before Egyptian winger Abdul-Wahed, who came on as a second-half substitute, ensured victory with a 77th-minute strike.

The former Zamalek man fired a trademark left-footed shot that went past the keeper to take his tally to 13 goals in all competitions, 11 of which came in the league.

Brussels scored two late consolations through Moussa Sanogo and Aurelien Coppin.

Lierse remained second in the table on 72 points, five behind leaders Sint Truidense with two matches to go.

The league winner directly qualify for the Belgian first division while teams from the second to the fifth places enter promotion play-offs.
