The Portuguese will miss Real's six remaining games in the league after being punished by the disciplinary committee of the Spanish soccer federation (RFEF).

The referee whistled for a penalty when Pepe pushed Getafe's Francisco Casquero three minutes from time with the score level at 2-2.

The 26-year-old then lashed out at Casquero, who was lying on the ground, before hitting Getafe midfielder Juan Albin in the face to receive a straight red card.

Pepe apologized for his actions but was not granted a reprieve.
