Mohamed Zidan is set to be questioned by the Egypt management for his angry reaction to being substituted in the 2-0 win over Mozambique, assistant coach Hamada Sedki said.

Zidan was far from satisfied to see his number on the substitution board before the hour-mark as he refused to shake Ahmed Eid's hands, throwing his wristband in anger.

"I didn’t see the incident in full because I was busy with the substitution, but these acts are unacceptable of course," Egypt's third man Sedki told Egyptian radio.

"Zidan wasn’t at his best and I don’t see any reason he should be angry to go off. We will certainly talk to him about what he has done."

Shape

Sedki revealed that Egypt boss Hassan Shehata is not willing to apply many changes in the next game against Benin, despite being sure of a last-eight place.

"We will play to win against Benin. We want to keep on going," the former Egypt defender added.

"We will make little changes to the team, because it is important to preserve our shape in big competitions."

Egypt face outsiders Benin knowing that even a defeat will keep them top of Group C, which they lead with six points from two games.
