South Africa are aiming to bank on their 2010 World Cup success to host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

"We are still enjoying the success of the World Cup and we hope it will be good for us in our bid to host the Africa Cup of Nations," South African FA president Kirsten Nematandani is quoted as saying by Sowetan newspaper.

"There will be no question of infrastructure because it is here, accommodation is here.

"There will be no question of transport because it is here, world-class stadiums are here too. We have everything. We are going to update the government about this development."

South Africa's staging to the recent World Cup exceeded expectations, in what was described by FIFA president Sepp Blatter as 'something fantastic'.

The last time a Cup of Nations competition was staged on South African soil was in 1996, when Bafana Bafana clinched the title in Johannesburg.
