Congolese striker Doris Salomo was the hero of the night after scoring an extraordinary overhead kick to hand his team the title two weeks from the end.

Al-Fateh, an unfancied side based in the region of Al-Ahsaa, are seven points clear of closest rivals Hilal, who are Saudi Arabia’s most successful club.

Managed by Tunisian Fathi Al-Jebali, Al-Fateh became the seventh club in the list of Saudi champions.
