Ahli captain Hossam Ghaly believes Egypt have a genuine chance of qualifying for the World Cup under the management of Bob Bradley.

Ghaly, who has just recovered from a serious knee injury, sets his sights on the Pharaohs next couple of qualifiers ahead of the decisive final round.

“I think the time has come for Egypt to qualify for the World Cup and achieve the dream we’ve all been waiting for in years,” Ghaly told Ahli’s website.

“The next two games against Zimbabwe and Mozambique are very important. We need to get good results in order to be ready for the crucial knockout stage.

“I believe coach Bradley has what it takes to lead Egypt to the World Cup. Personally, I trust him because he is a manager who is capable of dealing with players in the right way.

“During the long time of my injury, he has been frequently speaking with me and keeping my morale up. He has the personal and technical qualities to take us to the World Cup.”

Ghaly will be hoping to regain his place with the national team in the final Group G qualifier against Guinea in September.
