After having trials at Anderlecht and Borussia Dortmund last month, Gomaa has been strongly poised to leave ENPPI for a European club before this summer’s World Cup.

With 20 days remaining until the Turkey finals, Egypt assistant coach Mohamed Saad claimed that the 19-year-old is heading to Dortmund this week.

However, ENPPI did not acknowledge Saad’s claim as Gomaa’s future remains unclear.

“There have been no talks with Dortmund. The only offer we’ve received came from Freiburg and we are yet to discuss it with Saleh,” ENPPI chairman Badr told FilGoal.com.

“I’m afraid we are not responsible for the Egypt coach’s comments.

“Offers are supposed to be sent to clubs not to national teams!”
