The Cairo side held their top-flight opponents to a 1-1 draw before edging a penalty shootout 6-5 to go through.

Ironically, it was Al-Nasr who eliminated Ittihad from the very same stage two years ago with a shootout win as well.

Al-Nasr become the first club to qualify for the cup last eight.
