Ahli have snapped up Egypt U-20 goalkeeper Mossad Awad from Ismaili after the Dervishes have accepted a bid.

After weeks of opposing the goalie’s move to their arch-rivals, Ismaili finally agreed to sell their starlet for an undisclosed fee.

Ahli confirmed on their website that a four-year deal has been agreed with the 20-year-old.

“I am very happy to be making this move, especially that Ismaili have benefited financially,” Awad told FilGoal.com.

“I feel so relieved now that the agreement comes before the World Cup in Turkey. Now I can be filly focused rather than thinking about my future.

“I hope Ahli would be a means to playing in Europe one day.”

Awad, who was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament in the African Youth Championship, is expected to be in goal when Egypt open their World Cup campaign against Chile next week.
