The Ahli star inspired Egypt to a 4-2 victory over Guinea in the final World Cup qualifying group game, scoring a goal and setting up another two.

"Really?!! I didn't know at all that the game was my 100th international match!" Abou-Treika, 34, told FilGoal.com right after the win over Guinea.

"I really cannot believe it is true! I thought I had a long way to achieve such a feat. It's a great feeling."

Abou-Treika played his first game for Egypt in 2001 in a friendly draw against Estonia during his days as a Tersana player.

He was then regularly recalled by Egypt after joining Ahli in 2004 to become an integral member of the Pharaohs squad ever since.
