-Egypt became the ONLY NATION in the entire 2014 World Cup qualifiers to complete a 100% winning record in the group stage.
-Egypt’s matches vs. Guinea never witnessed a CLEAN SHEET for either side.
-ADAM EL-ABD is the second Egypt player to score an own goal on his competitive debut in the space of two years; the first was Mohamed Elneny vs. Sierra Leone in 2011.
-MOHAMED ABOU-TREIKA made his 100th appearance for Egypt, scoring his 37th goal and third penalty in this year’s qualifiers.
-MOHAMED SALAH became Africa’s World Cup qualifying top scorer with his sixth goal in as many games.
-AMR ZAKI registered his first goal for Egypt since his second minute strike against Algeria in 2009.
-HOSSAM GHALY netted his first goal for Egypt in six years when he scored in a regional game against Saudi Arabia.
-MAHMOUD ‘KAHRABA’ made his Egypt debut at the age of 19 to become the youngest player to feature under Bob Bradley.
