Ahli scored two first-half goals to beat Morocco's Maghreb FES 2-1 in a friendly match ahead of the Club World Cup.
Despite conceding a silly second-half goal, the African champions were superior thanks to goals by Emad Meteb and Mohamed Abou-Treika.
Fit-again striker Meteb took the place of the suspended Ahmed Abdul-Zaher to smash in the opener, following a magnificent through pass from Abou-Treika.
Abou-Treika, who will retire by the end of the month, scored the second himself when he superbly deceived the keeper with a shot from a tight angle.
Ahli prepare for their Club World Cup opener against Asian champions Guangzhou Evergrande on December 14.
