Performance of the week

Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady scored his second English Premier League goal this season in the 6-0 hammering against Fulham, hitting the opener that paved the way for a second-half assault for the Tigers.

Koka also on target

Another player back amongst the goals was Rio Ave striker Ahmed Hassan 'Koka', who finally found the net in the 2-0 Portuguese League Cup win over Pacos Ferreira after a five-match goal-drought.

Egypt forward Geddo continued to miss out for Hull City for the fifth match on the spin as the Ahli loanee is reportedly linked with a January return to his parent club.

In the English Championship, center-half Adam El-Abd retained his status as a starter for Brighton for the third match running, playing another full 90 minutes in the 3-2 defeat at Charlton.

Hossam Ghaly bagged an assist in Lierse's 3-0 Belgian league victory over Mechelen, setting up his side's second goal of the evening.

Egyptian compatriots Ahmed Samir Farag and Ahmed Yasser, however, were both ruled out of the home win.

Lierse highlights

Ibrahim Salah's Saudi side Orouba managed to hold giants Ittihad Jeddah to a goalless draw away from home as the former Zamalek midfielder was substituted at half-time.
