Although he is regarded as the most successful coach in Egypt's history, Shehata has yet to make a major impact at club level.

Following his glorious stint with Egypt, the Zamalek legend had a couple of unsuccessful spells with his former club and at Qatar's Al-Arabi.

Should he complete the Difaa move, Shehata will be the first Egyptian to manage a Moroccan team.
