After a shock two-nil lead in the first eight minutes, the Tigers were pegged back before losing to a decisive Aaron Ramsey goal in the 109th minute.

Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady played the full 120 minutes as fellow defenders James Chester and Curtis Davies gave Hull an early two-goal lead.

Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielny levelled it for Arsenal but it was Ramsey who scored the all-important goal in extra time.
