Mido has confirmed that he will carry on as the manager of Zamalek, a few hours after announcing his resignation.

The 31-year-old wrote on his Twitter account that he will hand in his resignation on Saturday, only to backtrack suddenly a few hours later.

"I will stay with the club in respect to the fans and the board. I will not leave Zamalek unless the club want so," Mido told FilGoal.com.

"I was not happy because I don't want people to be judging me this season. I did not start the season with the team, so there is still a lot of work to do."

Not happy

Meanwhile, Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour admitted that he did not swallow Mido's unofficial announcement.

"Honestly I am not happy with Mido's act. He should have spoken to us instead of Twitting," the outspoken Mansour said.

"Mido will stay because nothing has been received by the board officially.

"The board always backs the team and if Mido wants to leave, he is free.

"If he is not happy with the team, he should have addressed the board and the club's officials."
