Salah completes Chelsea switch

Mohamed Salah has joined English Premier League giants Chelsea from Basel on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

The London club announced that the 21-year-old forward has signed a contract and will be wearing the number 15 shirt at Stamford Bridge.

''I'm very happy to sign for Chelsea, such a big club in the world," Salah was quoted by Chelsea website.

I hope I can make the Chelsea supporters happy and have a good career at the club for many years to come."

Chelsea beat off competition from league rivals Liverpool for the Egyptian prodigy, even though the Reds were the first to show real interest.

Salah, who moved for a reported fee of £11M, will become the youngest Egyptian ever to play in the Premier League.
