Ahli boss Manuel Jose gave his players a one-day break so they can overcome their shameful 1-0 defeat to Asian champions Ittihad Jeddah in the Club World Championship (CWC) opener that took place on Sunday.

The team will resume training after the break for their fifth-place play-off against Australian club Sydney that will take place on Friday.

On another hand, the players were divided about what to do with their break, the first group, which included Mohamed Abo-Treika, were so depressed that they wanted to stay in the hotel. The second group agreed not to go around the city and to stay confined in the hotel, while the last group, which included Mohamed Shawki, thought about overcoming the depression and touring the city.

However, all the players voiced there regrets to the club fans in Tokyo and pledged not to give up fifth place in the competition.
