Brazilian super star Ronaldinho will miss Barcelona's league clash against Cadiz on Saturday after failing to recover from flu, Barcelona announced on their official website on Friday.

The European player of the year has been omitted from the squad which will face Cadiz due to "heavy bout of flu and fever" as reported by the club's official website.

Ronaldinho joins the likes of Xavi and Mark Van Bommel who will miss the encounter through injury while Thiago Motta, Deco and Rafael Marquez will all return after missing last week's 2-1 win over Sevilla.

Barcelona are leading the Spanish Primera table with 34 points, ahead of second-placed Osasuna on a goal difference while Cadiz lie 16th on 14 points.
