Serie A title holders Juventus were held to their first draw of the season when they tied Lazio 1-1 on Saturday.

Tommaso Rocchi sent the home crowd into joy when he fired Lazio into the lead in the 16th minute before David Trezeguet 14th goal of the season leveled for the visitors nine minutes later.

The result sent Juventus 11 points clear at the top of the league with second-place Fiorentina remaining idle on Saturday while Lazio remained ninth with 23 points.

Paolo Di Canio stole the ball from on Lilian Thuram in the 16th minute and slipped the ball to Christian Manfredini who fed Rocchi for an easy tap-in.

In-form striker Trezeguet leveled the score in the 25th minute after he headed home Pavel Nedved's header..

Juventus almost grabbed the lead in the 56th minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic chipped the ball over the defense to Trezeguet but the Frenchman failed to deliver.

Elsewhere, Treviso registered their second league victory after beating Lecce 2-1 at home.
