Inter Milan have confirmed that Chievo striker Victor Obinha will join them in the January transfer window, Football Italia magazine reported on Thursday.

"We have already reached an agreement and completed negotiations with Chievo to bring him to us," Inter owner Massimo Moratti said.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini was desperate to reinforce his squad in the January transfer window due to the absence of key duo Obafemi Martins and Pierre Wome who will play in the African Cup of Nations "ACN" in Egypt.

The 19-year-old Nigerian enjoyed a fine campaign with the Verona outfit, netting four goals in the Seria A this season and proving to be a promising youngster.

Obinha's impending arrival at the Giuseppe Meazza means that he turned down Nigeria's invitation to take part in the ACN in January.

Meanwhile, Moratti has played down recent reports linking Real Madrid striker Ronaldo with a return to the Nerazzuri.

"We have never been in touch with him and neither has he with us," he said.
