Libyan Football Federation (LFF) president Jamal El-Jaafri announced that Libya’s coming match against Morocco in the African Cup of Nations (ACN) will be Ilija Loncarevic’s last match as head coach.

The decision to sack the Croatian caretaker came after Libya’s 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in their Group A match that took place on Tuesday, which saw them exit the African Cup early from round-one, El-Jaafri told Filgoal.com.

A host of Libyan players nodded the decision after admitting the Loncarevic’s average level of coaching and insisting that they could have put on better performances and came out with better results.

Libya, who also suffered a 3-1 defeat in their opener against Egypt, have no chances to qualify to the African Cup quarter-finals in their final match against Morocco that will take place on Saturday in the Military Academy stadium.

Nevertheless, the match will be crucial for the Moroccans who look to grab the first Group A qualifying ticket to round-two.
