African champions Egypt

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata said on Sunday that the semi-final encounter against Senegal in the African Cup of Nations will not be an easy one.

"It will definitely be stronger than the DR Congo match, because teams improve as the tournament nears its conclusion," Shehata told FilGoal.com.

Egypt will face Senegal in the semi-finals of the African Cup on Tuesday and the winner will move on to play the winner from the Ivory Coast-Nigeria match inn the final on Friday.

Shehata said the Egyptian team was ready to face the Teranga Lions, noting that all the players are ready for the encounter.

"Mohamed Abou-Treika is back from suspension and Ahmed Hossam "Mido" recovered from his injury, but his participation against Senegal is not definite yet," Shehata said.

Mido's participation will be determined after the Egyptian team's training on Sunday evening, Shehata explained.

Meanwhile, the Senegalese team arrived in Cairo and will also train on Sunday evening.

Senegal are the most traveled team of the African Cup as they played in three different stadiums and resided in four different Egyptian city during the tournament.
