Brazil striker Ronaldo hinted he may leave Real Madrid at the end of the season citing the lack of love from the club's fans as his motive, Spanish paper Marca reported on Monday.

"The fans have never accepted me and their reaction is something to take into account when thinking about my future," Ronaldo told a news conference.

"I've always said that I don't want to be where I'm not loved. I've never felt at home at the Bernabeu, the fans have never treated me with affection."

The 28-year-old ace said that Real's fans were impatient.

"I've thought about the way I'm treated and spoken with thousands of people, but I have never understood why the fans have so little patience with me," Ronaldo said.

"As soon as I make an error people jeer me," the former Barcelona forward added.

The three-time World Player of the Year said he strived to secure a move to Santiago Bernabeu but he will reconsider a stay by the end of the season given the circumstances.
