Zamalek assistant coach Ahmed Ramzi insisted that they are planning to field their reserves in their friendly against Iraqi outfit Zawraa that will take place on Thursday in Cairo.

“We will play the match with the reserves given the key and international players’ fatigue after playing a multitude of consecutive matches, this will help them jump back into form for the rest of our local league campaign,” Ramzi told Filgoal.com on Sunday.

Zamalek boss Manuel Cajuda gave the team’s internationals a 48-hour additional break to the original three days they team got after their 5-0 victory over Aluminum that got them to the top of the league standings, one point ahead of rivals Ahli.

“We will continue to compete on the league title after the team regained their previous form,” Ramzi said.

On the other hand, Ramzi said that the Zamalek board will meet with the financial administration and the appointed fund raisers to study a move to get the club out of their financial crisis, so they can start negotiating with five players, whose contracts expire by the end of the season.

Zamalek are seeking to renew the contracts of Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, Mohamed Sedeek, Tarek Al-Saied, Sameh Youssef and Mohamed Aboul-Ela.
