Hosni, alongside ruled out star midfielders Mohamed Barakat and Mohamed Abou-Treika, conducted a light training session on Tuesday as the 18-man squad concluded their preparations behind closed doors.

Hosni suffers a thigh-strain and his injury paved the way for striker Ahmed Galal, who has yet to appear in a first-team fixture, to join the squad for the first time this season.

Playmaker Wael Reyad and former Ismaili winger Mohamed Abdullah are set to start on Wednesday to cover the absence of Abou-Treika and Islam Al-Shater respectively.

Ahli lead the standings on 47 points, two ahead of second-place Zamalek while Ismaili are seventh with 26 points.
