Mansour, Atallah to run for presidency?

Egyptian Council for Sports president Hassan Sakr announced that he will carry out the Cairo Administrative Court’s decision to revoke the former Youth Minister’s decision to dissolve the former Zamalek board, presided by Mortada Mansour.

Mansour will once again take over the Zamalek board as soon as a copy of the verdict reaches the Egyptian Council for Sports, Sakr told the local media, to which he stressed that he will always carry out the court’s decisions.

Sakr announced his statements after a meeting with Mansour and a couple of other former board members that took place on Thursday.

On the other hand, Mansour insisted that he has the utmost respect for the Egyptian Council for Sports and the ongoing Zamalek board, presided by Morsi Attala and stressed that he will carry out the Council’s decisions only if they were legal.

The former Zamalek president, however, insisted that he wont carry out the Council’s recommendation to settle a land-ownership with the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments regarding the land on which the Zamalek club resides.

Mansour refused to pay LE 35-million in fines, in addition to the original value of the land, to the ministry and said that they have been on the land for 20 years, an aspect that entitles them to the land without paying any money.

Mansour, who also said that the ongoing board’s last decision, issued on Tuesday, were terminated, given that they were taken after the court’s decision, said that he was expecting to return to his former post on Sunday.
