Zamalek president Mortada Mansour said on Wednesday that he is opposed to the idea of suspending players.

Mansour said he preferred imposing fines to discipline players because suspension hurts the team more than it hurts the disorderly player.

"I informed the head of football committee of my opinion so he'd forward it to coach Manuel Cajuda that," Mansour told FilGoal.com exclusively.

Mansour's statements came after the technical staff banned defender Ibrahim Saied from training with the team on Tuesday.

Saied, along with trio Wael Al-Qabani, Walid Abdul-Latif and Sameh Youssef, were suspended by Cajuda last week for various reasons.

An insider source in Zamalek has told FilGoal.com that Mansour's idea will be implemented, but after Thursday's game against Mahalla in the local league.
