However, the EFA postponed announcing the names of the technical staff till next week.
EFA president Samir Zaher also agreed on appointing Arnaldo Carvalho as Vengada's assistant after the latter agreed to lower his and Carvalho's salaries to $25,000.
Vengada, who flew back to Portugal on Thursday, is due to start his work with the Olympic team on the first week of July as the team start preparing for their 2008 Beijing Olympics qualification campaign next September.
EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi said that a list of the candidates for the rest of the coaching staff will be sent to Vengada to get his opinion before choosing them.
Negotiations with the former Zamalek coach have stumbled more than once as he demanded hiring a Portuguese assistant as well as starting his work with the team on July, while the EFA said they won't offer Vengada more than $25.000 as salary and they wanted him to take over the team from next June.
After rejecting Vengada's terms, the EFA retracted and agreed to hire the Portuguese assistant coach and to allow him to start work in July after Vengada agreed on the $25,000 salary.
Vengada, who guided Zamalek to win the Egyptian League title before he was sacked in 2004, has finished this season with Academica in the 14th place in the Portuguese Super League.
