Asyut Cement and Aluminum were relegated to the second division on Monday while Arab contractors preserved their place in the Egyptian Premier League next season.

In Asyut, Cement failed to stay in the top flight despite a 2-1 victory over Ghazl Mahalla.

Minusu Buba and Mohamed Al-Fayoumi scored for Cement while Reda Metwali notched Mahalla's only goal.

Asyut finished in 12th spot on 26th points while Mahalla sealed the 11th spot with one more point.

In Suez, Aluminum were crushed 5-1 by Suez Cement to fall down to the lower division.

Aluminum were placed second from the bottom on 25 points, five ahead of the basement club Koroum who have been already confirmed out of the Egyptian Premier League next season.

In Cairo, Ehab Al-Masri scored six minutes after the hour mark to give Arab contractors a precious 1-0 victory over Ittihad and secure a spot for the team in the Premier League next season.

Arab contractors finished in ninth spot with 28 points.
