"I will do my best to be ready for the tournament," Jaidi said in an interview with Tunisian paper Assabah.

"I promise the Tunisians that we will be doing our best in Germany and produce a good image of Tunisian football before the whole world."

The former Esperance stopper said his spell in the Premiership was fruitful and improved his game.

"My spell with Bolton is very good, I did well in my first season and I confirmed my status in the second despite having some tough times which I learnt a lot from," he said.

Tunisia will be playing in group H against Spain, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia.

This is their third successive appearance in the World Cup and the fourth in their history.
