"Despite my years and experience in the game, I'm nervous," Parreira was quoted as saying by Sky Sports on Tuesday.

After guiding Brazil to win the 1994 World Cup, Perreira will once again lead his team as title defense campaign, after winning 2002 Cup with former coach Luis Felipe Scolari. Despite the resulting pressure, he said that it could be useful for him and for the team.

"I have a cold feeling in the stomach, but these things are useful for motivation," Parreira said.

"Fear doesn’t intimidate, but encourages us to overcome challenges," he added.

Brazil will kick off their campaign on June 13th against Croatia, before facing Australia and Japan in Group F of the World Cup.
